I lied

Not intentionally of course, but a lie all the same. Do you ever have those days where you're feeling great and and so you make lots of plans, with every intention of keeping them...but when it comes to it you're just exhausted, or full of anxiety? Well my last post as written on one of those days.

Not to say they've been all bad days between then and now, I've just been really trying to focus on being in the moment during those good days. I want to be able to really remember the good feelings and moments so I can recall them on those days when I can't find the sun.

I've actually been up to SO MUCH! I've been travelling, and gardening, and cooking and DIYing and spending time with my friends & family, as well as making lots of things for my Etsy shop, what more could I ask for?!

Danny and I have been decorating our home to suit our style one room at a time, and the one that was the biggest challenge was the living room. Our house was built in the 1930s and shows it's age. We don't mind this, and actually love vintage style, but it does mean there's alot of work needed over time.

After we had the walls and ceiling plastered to cover up some dated Artex, we found an amazing vintage cast iron fireplace and the most dreamy dark green paint colour and set about planning a cosy space to relax in.

Dan built our chimney breast out so we have a big enough space for our fireplace and so we could inset the TV. I learnt how to tile and spent days and days painting.

It was hard work, and there's still some things we'd like to do, but we're so happy with how it turned out. The room has never felt cosier

We repaired a vintage record player too, and I think Knox enjoys listening to it as much as we do! What do you think? Isn't green such a relaxing colour?!
